Chapter 34

A white void appears in front of me.

The familiar system beep sounds: [Congratulations, player. You have successfully cleared this round of the game 'Peachland'.]

The system interface shows player information.

Player: Ye Nianchu
Grade: F
Points: 200
Unlocked: 20

Ye Nianchu looks surprised, then pleased.

This is an unexpected joy!

Unlocking progress is more important to her than points because it shows how much power she can use.

Ye Nianchu opens the Beginner's Guide provided by the system. It’s a short, two-page document explaining the basic rules of survival games, including player levels and special game types.

She had previously bought this guide with points. It’s similar to previous versions but updated for new games. The guide updates with game changes, so having it means she gets the latest game information.

Who would spend points to buy it otherwise?

The system detects that her points are enough to upgrade to Grade E. Do you want to use 200 points to upgrade?

Ye Nianchu immediately chooses 'No.'

There are seven levels in Survival: from F to S.

F to D: 200 points to upgrade
D to B: 500 points
B to A: 1000 points
S level is different. You cannot upgrade with points. It depends on the system’s judgment of your performance in the game.

Players use a lot of points early on to level up, but the real usefulness comes after reaching Grade B. Grade B and above players can open their own space by spending 500 points. The initial space is small but can be expanded later by spending more points.

High-level players can also use points to buy items in the system store, which are very expensive. Even A-level and S-level players find the prices shocking.

The system store also allows recycling items, but the recycling price is only 10% of the purchase price.

It’s a 'conscientious' store.

Ye Nianchu had used a lot of points to move from F to B grade, but in the next game, she became an S-grade player.

She felt she had wasted points back then. If she had saved them, she could have expanded her space and bought items when she reached S-grade.

At that time, players didn’t know about the S-grade, so they all upgraded as soon as they could.

The first players got the short end of the stick.

Daiyong Township.

The heavy night is fading, and a faint light is breaking through the clouds as dawn approaches.

The peach trees are burned down as if they’ve gone through a terrible disaster. Half the town is in ruins, with the smell of burning everywhere.

The old acacia tree in the town, which had bodies hanging from it, is cut down. The fire’s marks are clear.

A slender figure walks out of the ruins, his body clean and free of dust.

The figure surveys the destruction with a sense of calm, as if he’s seen it all before. He takes a deep breath, looking forward to whatever comes next.

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
