Last night, fatty and the others seemed even more excited than Brother Ran, the person involved, discussing for most of the day. By the time Xiang Ran left the next day, everyone else was still sleeping like pigs.

The morning light gradually broke through the treetops, enveloping the campus in a quiet atmosphere. The sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting clear shadows on the lawn.

It was still early, and most students hadn’t arrived yet. Only birds chirped in the treetops, their sounds mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves in the breeze, adding a lively touch to the tranquil campus.

When Xiang Ran arrived at the girls' dormitory, Liu Shuyao was already waiting there.

Wearing a baseball cap and a pure white cotton long dress, with red canvas shoes on her feet, she had likely been waiting for a while. She either leaned her head against the telephone pole or looked down at her shadow on the ground, trying to step on it.

Perhaps because waiting felt meaningful, Liu Shuyao seemed to be enjoying herself alone.

Soon, the car parked steadily by the roadside.

Liu Shuyao’s dazed expression immediately brightened.

“Hubby~”

She skillfully opened the passenger door, slid in, fastened her seatbelt, and spoke softly with a hint of sweetness.

“Are you tired?”

Xiang Ran turned the car around and headed towards the hospital.

“Um~”

“A little bit when I just woke up.”

“Sleep a bit more once we get to the hospital.”

“Mm-mm~”

Liu Shuyao glanced at the window, where the morning sun shone on the glass, reflecting her image alongside her boyfriend's silhouette.

Finding it amusing, she lightly traced her fingertip across the window, then seemed to remember something. She quietly adjusted her seat back a bit, finding the right angle, pouted her lips, and quickly took a photo with her phone.

Just then, they hit a red light, and before she could react, Xiang Ran turned his head to look at her.

“Is the picture nice?”

Uh-oh.

She thought she was quick enough; how could she have been caught?

The school beauty's face instantly flushed, and the knuckles holding the phone turned pale.

How embarrassing!

Not only could she not kiss the real deal, but she also got caught trying to sneak a picture.

“Don’t look at me~”

“Drive properly!”

“And! Remember your identity~ I haven’t agreed to your pursuit yet~”

Liu Shuyao tried to assert herself playfully.

Then she raised her phone to cover most of her face, avoiding Xiang Ran’s gaze.

Meanwhile, Xiang Ran turned back to drive, the corners of his mouth already curling into a smile.

As this cute couple bickered in the car, fatty and his friends were gossiping in the classroom.

After swaying into the classroom, as soon as the teacher started the lecture, their gossip genes kicked in.

Fatty: “So! After all that talk yesterday, who is Brother Ran's girlfriend?”

Qi Dong: “I don’t know! This guy is keeping it so tight-lipped!”

Wang Hao: “Didn’t Brother Ran already admit it’s someone from the Art College?!”

Wang Hao: “What’s wrong with you two?!”

Fatty: “Art College! Fine Arts Department!”

Fatty: “Brother Dong, this daunting task falls to you! Use Brother Ran’s gossip to bridge the gap between you and Zhao Ying!”

Qi Dong: “As if I need you to tell me!”

Qi Dong: “I already asked her! I asked last night!”

Fatty: “So?”

Wang Hao: “And then?”

Qi Dong: “Then she sent me a meme that said, ‘Here’s a look, interpret it yourself.’”

Fatty: “That’s as good as saying nothing!”

Wang Hao: “Agreed +1”

By the time they had gossiped enough, it was time for class to end.

The school anniversary was approaching, and the final preparations between the various departments were reaching a climax.

Daily posts about the anniversary gala flooded the school forum.

Typically, this area was dominated by the Art College, with the Liberal Arts College occasionally having one or two standout performers.

Of course, for departments like Computer Science or Mathematics, there was hardly any mention.

They could only be like crows in a field of melons, hopping around under the posts of various beauties, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

“I heard the Dance Department’s performance will be absolutely stunning!”

“They invited a big shot from the Liberal Arts College to choreograph a dance drama. Now, not only does Fang An'an have the looks, but she also has a storyline! It’s a slam dunk!”

“What about the Fine Arts Department?”

“I just want to see how Liu Shuyao will retaliate! Isn’t she going to dance as well?”

“Don’t the rivals end up in a bloody showdown?”

“Who’s even a rival? Fang An'an is only after Zheng Fuxin’s money, okay?!”

“Do you really think a rich second generation is stupid?”

“And besides, the school beauty doesn’t even look at Zheng Fuxin, so they can’t be rivals!”

“The school beauty is surely high above; that ‘high peak flower’ title isn’t just for show! She needs to be admired!”

“So let them have their celestial battle, and I’ll secretly watch, right?”

“Creepy!”

“Creepy +1!”

“Young people should focus on themselves and not covet things that don’t belong to them!”

“Can’t I just bump up the posts?”

“Why don’t you bump up Brother Yue’s posts?”

“Do you see any posts from our Computer Science department in that forum?”

“Speaking of which, is Brother Yue really going to sing a love song for singles at the anniversary gala?”

“In such a setting, that might not be appropriate!”

“I feel like after he sings, he’ll strip away our department’s last shred of dignity!”

“This is our department’s honor!!!!!!”

“What to do? It’s already good if someone is willing to perform!”

Just then, during class break, the classroom was buzzing with conversations, everyone talking over one another.

Until Qi Dong received a text message on his phone.

He took a glance and nearly dropped his jaw!

Then he saw the instigator walk into the classroom.

Xiang Ran, after accompanying the school beauty for her IV drip, headed straight to the student council, just in time for class.

Originally, Yue Hongjun didn’t want to go on stage, having been worried for days and losing sleep over it. Now, with a replacement falling from the sky, he felt like he could almost bow to Xiang Ran on the spot.

Fortunately, Xiang Ran arrived in time; the list hadn’t been submitted yet, so he successfully got the swap.

However, just as he settled down, he heard Qi Dong shout!

“Yue Hongjun said for the anniversary, our department’s performance is changed to you!”

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
