Liu Shuyao and Xiang Ran reached the mountain peak, overlooking the distant mountains and plains.

The sun gradually sank in the west, painting the entire sky red. The clouds at the horizon were adorned in shades of orange and pink, with radiant light piercing through the clouds, setting the mountaintop aglow.

A gentle breeze swept across the summit, causing Liu Shuyao's long hair to flutter wildly, reflecting the chaos of emotions within them.

The distance between them closed, as if an inevitable attraction was forming, yet it hung in the air like the moment just before sunset.

The setting sun cast their silhouettes against the sky, resembling two intertwined souls.

Xiang Ran found a clear spot, and Liu Shuyao leaned on his shoulder.

"Do you think there will be meteors tonight?" Liu Shuyao suddenly asked.

"Do you know how meteors are formed?"

Liu Shuyao looked at him, puzzled, not saying a word.

"Meteor showers occur at specific times when the Earth passes through clouds of dust left by comets or asteroids. When these particles collide with the atmosphere, they burn up, creating meteors."

"......"

Clearly, Liu Shuyao was not satisfied with his answer.

She shifted to a more comfortable position against him.

"All you had to say was 'yes'~"

"Oh, yes."

Realizing he had said the wrong thing again, Xiang Ran quickly changed his response.

"Then let’s wait for them tonight~"

"Mm."

No matter what his girlfriend said, he would just agree for now!

The wind at the mountaintop was still a bit strong in the evening, so Xiang Ran took a shirt from his backpack and draped it over Liu Shuyao.

Looking at the familiar pattern, she said, "Let’s go buy matching outfits next time~ I want to wear the same as my husband!~"

After putting on the shirt, she snuggled closer to him, feeling a bit exhausted from the day's ups and downs.

"Sure, just tell me when to go."

Xiang Ran looked at the little head resting on his shoulder and reached out to touch her soft earlobe; it felt nice to the touch.

"Do you remember what we talked about that day on the mountain?"

Xiang Ran fell silent, searching his memory for their interactions, vaguely recalling a few moments they shared.

"I remember you had an argument with your family."

"Yeah, it was about painting. I was so stressed every day, but you always said my paintings were great~"

As soon as she mentioned it, Liu Shuyao perked up, sitting up to face him, leaning slightly forward.

Her hand slid to his waist, gripping his hoodie tightly, as if trying to hold onto those missed thoughts from the past.

Liu Shuyao's eyelashes fluttered, gently brushing against his heart like a kitten’s tail.

"I was really sad that day; my emotions were low."

"Good thing you comforted me and took me out to eat~"

Xiang Ran recalled that day; his parents were busy and hadn’t cooked. After school, he happened to see Liu Shuyao quietly crying in the classroom and, out of concern, comforted her and took her to eat at the school gate.

"Because it was Crazy Thursday," Xiang Ran replied casually.

"When I was younger, I thought you were really aloof..."

“???”

“Wait, what did you just say?”

Liu Shuyao had more to say, her mind filled with thoughts of sweet campus romance, but she was completely thrown off by that one sentence.

Even if Xiang Ran was a bit slow, he could see Liu Shuyao's changing expression.

“You're not inviting me to dinner just because of Crazy Thursday, are you?”

“Of course not! I wanted to treat you to dinner to comfort you, and it just happens to be Crazy Thursday!”

“Hmph! Just shut up! Don’t talk to me!”

“…”

Liu Shuyao angrily pressed her fingertip against her boyfriend's mouth, effectively muting him. She let out a low hum and buried her pale face in Xiang Ran's hoodie.

Ugh, what a dense guy!

“I bet you only invited me to dinner because of Crazy Thursday!!!”

After a moment, she felt even angrier and pushed Xiang Ran's shoulder, trying to get up.

Hmph! No hugs for you!

But to her surprise, Xiang Ran wouldn’t let go, holding her with one arm while his fingers traced circles on her waist, his chin resting against one side of her cheek.

“Let go of me!”

“You're angry! I’m not letting go!!!”

“No, it’s just that you looked so pitiful back then.”

The school beauty felt a tingling sensation on her skin from her boyfriend's breath, as if an electric current was flowing through her.

“And besides, you really…”

Before Xiang Ran could finish, he was silenced again.

This time, it was with her lips. Compared to the last time, Xiang Ran could clearly feel her soft lips against his.

Liu Shuyao, still wearing his shirt, snuggled closer, nervously lifting her head, her eyes full of moisture, changing the topic.

“Forget it, I won’t mention it anymore. You’re mine now!”

Under the night sky, a bright moon hung overhead, with stars twinkling. The quiet mountains were filled only with the sound of the gentle breeze rustling the leaves and distant crickets chirping.

“And! I have something to tell you today~”

“It should be good news~”

“Should be?” Xiang Ran asked, puzzled.

“I went to my grandpa’s house for dinner today and told my mom about my relationship~”

Liu Shuyao was playing with the drawstring of Xiang Ran's hoodie.

She didn’t notice how her boyfriend’s back stiffened upon hearing this.

“Ah?”

“You told your parents?”

Xiang Ran couldn’t react for a moment. Everything was happening way too fast!

In just the time since the National Day holiday, both his family and Liu Shuyao's family had found out about their relationship.

And wasn't this supposed to be a secret? Didn’t they have rules about this?

“Then… what did your parents say?”

Xiang Ran asked, a bit tense.

“I told my mom, and she didn’t say much~”

Liu Shuyao's face flushed. “She just told me to be careful…”

Xiang Ran let out a sigh of relief, then…

???

!!!

He suddenly felt awkward, a strange impulse stirring inside him.

Good, very good.

That statement was quite effective; the breath he just released was caught in his throat again.

The two chatted for a while longer.

Feeling a bit bored, Liu Shuyao turned and grabbed a pen from her art box.

She lifted her hand to support Xiang Ran’s arm, feeling his skin under her palm…

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
