When Liu Shuyao took her seat in the passenger seat, she received a message from Zhao Ying.

Zhao Ying: 【Sister!】

Zhao Ying: 【I’m stuck in traffic!】

Zhao Ying: 【There are only smart people on this highway!】

School Beauty: 【Huh? Is it congested in the morning too?】

Zhao Ying: 【I’m dying...!】

Liu Shuyao glanced at Zhao Ying's frantic messages and felt a bit worried about their situation.

“Yingying says they’re stuck in traffic. What about us?”

“The Jinghu Expressway always has traffic jams. We're not taking that route, and it’s not far. We won't leave the province, so it should be fine.”

Xiang Ran replied while pointing at the navigation. Liu Shuyao looked over and indeed saw that their route was clear.

When they arrived at their hotel, they parked the car and didn’t go back to their room.

A gentle breeze brushed over the beach, carrying the salty scent of the sea. The outdoor movie camp was not far from the beach, resembling a small seaside secret.

Xiang Ran held Liu Shuyao’s hand as they crossed the sand toward their destination.

In the front row of the outdoor movie area, the screen was large and smooth, the light wind tracing delicate outlines on its surface.

Behind the screen, small camping tents were scattered across the sand, their tops glowing with faint lights.

These tents seemed to be guardians of the night, adding a sense of secrecy to the couples’ time together.

Under the stars, shadows from the tents were cast upon the beach.

When they arrived, the movie hadn’t started yet, but many couples were already in the nearby tents. Soft music played randomly on the large screen, creating a comfortable atmosphere that blended with the sea breeze.

The gentle wind tousled Liu Shuyao’s long hair. Xiang Ran felt the warmth from her palm, a surge of indescribable emotions rising within him.

Finding their own tent, Liu Shuyao settled into a bean bag chair. In front of her was a small picnic table, and the tent was surrounded by a string of twinkling lights, enhanced by a faint scent of aromatherapy, making it look extremely romantic.

“Sit for a moment; I’ll go get some snacks.”

Liu Shuyao nodded, excitement sparkling in her eyes.

Xiang Ran quickly returned with a platter of snacks and some treats.

In the bean bag chair, there was no distance between them; as soon as Xiang Ran sat down, Liu Shuyao instinctively nestled into his arms, the familiar scent of pine enveloping her.

He was already accustomed to this position.

After a while, the music stopped, and the screen began to show the movie.

Liu Shuyao adjusted herself comfortably in her boyfriend’s embrace, chewing on a strawberry-flavored gummy.

The movie being played was an older film, "About Time."

British romantic comedies are always light and humorous until the vibrant scenes appeared on the screen.

The male lead kept traveling back in time to create a better first experience with the female lead.

As the woman's blue and white nightgown slipped off, revealing her perfectly slender back, their lips met, and the man clumsily fumbled around, struggling to find the right way.

“Oh, it’s a front opener.”

“It’s a zip from the front.”

Liu Shuyao watched intently, her desire to explain bubbling within her.

So she instinctively tilted her head to glance at her boyfriend, whose reaction was quite usually, when he noticed the school beauty's gaze, it was as if he could almost predict what she was about to say.

“Like this kind of front-button style, follow me…”

“Hmmmm…”

He realized she was getting better at covering her mouth.

“Either focus on the movie, or we can discuss the time loop paradox.”

After saying this, Xiang Ran glanced at Liu Shuyiao. Sure enough, as soon as she heard something about logic, she immediately fell silent, her eyes shimmering and obediently nodding.

He let out a sigh of relief. She really could bring up anything, couldn’t she? Thankfully, the movie didn't have any inappropriate scenes afterward.

However, the noises from next door seemed to get a bit louder, piquing Liu Shuyiao's curiosity. The tent, illuminated by shadows, resembled a semi-transparent canvas, allowing others to catch glimpses of everything happening next door. The occasional soft sounds added a subtle and enticing atmosphere to the outdoor movie setting.

Xiang Ran noticed the way Liu Shuyiao was eavesdropping, feeling an inexplicable tension and excitement. As she listened, her face flushed, and she bit her lower lip, gripping the edge of his shirt tighter.

The sounds of the waves blended with the faint noises from next door, stirring the imagination, as if a forbidden story was quietly unfolding under the night sky.

“They… why can’t they just hold back a little?” Liu Shuyiao whispered, her small head bowed, her ears turning red, her voice delicate and soft.

At that moment, Xiang Ran felt equally flustered, his body heated. He forced himself to look straight ahead, pretending not to hear.

Fortunately, the movie ended shortly after.

He quickly took Liu Shuyiao's hand, eager to leave, unsure of what might happen next.

They moved away from the campsite as night quietly descended, the starry sky sprinkled across the vast deep blue. The gentle sea breeze brushed against their hair, carrying a light salty scent, mingling with the rhythmic sound of distant waves.

Liu Shuyiao took off her shoes, her feet sinking into the fine sand, a ticklish sensation greeting her.

Xiang Ran watched her play with delight.

He captured the moment she crouched down, revealing a glimpse of her soft, fair waist, and the sound of the phone shutter felt like a forbidden whisper.

Hearing the noise, Liu Shuyiao turned, slightly startled, then blushed.

“I wasn’t even posing when you took that! It must look terrible!”

She pouted as she complained.

“No, you look good no matter what,” he reassured her.

“Hehe~”

Her smile was sweet.

Xiang Ran looked at the screen of his phone; in the photo, she resembled the brightest star in the night sky, unique and captivating.

“Then I want to take a photo with my boyfriend~”

He nodded. Liu Shuyiao proudly looped her arm through his, clearly more skilled than during his earlier candid shots.

They took many photos together, with Liu Shuyiao flipping through them one by one.

However, she accidentally tapped back to the home screen.

Spotting the new photo on his wallpaper, her eyes brightened. She waved the phone in front of him, excitement bubbling over.

“This is me!”

“Yeah.”

“When did you change it?” she asked, linking her arm with his and swaying playfully.

“A couple of days ago.”

“Are you going to change it back?” she pressed.

“No, I’m not.”

“Okay~”

Hearing those words made her ears flush, the soft, sweet tone lingering in the air, her lips slightly pressed together as if wrapped in a layer of delicate frosting.

She seemed like a cute, harmless cotton candy, making Xiang Ran unable to resist the urge to gently take a bite.

They played for a while longer until Xiang Ran checked the time and decided to take Liu Shuyiao back to the hotel.

Their luggage had already been taken to their room.

Following behind him, Liu Shuyiao felt incredibly nervous. She had overheard when she picked up the room key:

One room!!!

Initially, she thought she was mentally prepared, but when the door opened, she couldn’t help but gasp in surprise.

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
