Computer Science Institute, Room 306, Small Conference Room.

During the day, everyone had classes, so they could only meet after classes in the afternoon.

The three of them sat down again to continue the meeting, as the previous night, those two were indeed focused on dating and didn’t get any work done.

Liu Shuyao could now skillfully use her notebook to do the presentation.

"I discussed the situation with Teacher Wu yesterday."

"I will quickly provide specific data for changes like icons and text descriptions based on the overall page layout."

"As for the background image, it might need to be redrawn."

Mentioning this made the school beauty a bit frustrated. Teacher Wu had only given her a vague requirement and setup, leaving her without clear direction.

Changing the base color to red made it feel even harder to match. Plus, the several images she had provided before were all deemed unsuitable!

After the meeting, since it wasn't time to use the heavy guy yet, he went back first, leaving only Xiang Ran and the school beauty in the room.

As the sun set, the orange-red glow streamed through the windows of the computer lab, casting a warm hue over the entire room.

A faint fluorescent light filled the lab, where a few computers quietly ran, emitting a gentle humming sound.

The display screens flickered with flowing code, displaying complex data charts and experimental results.

Xiang Ran walked over to Liu Shuyao, noticing her with her head down, lost in thought. He glanced at the time and asked, "Want to grab something to eat first?"

"No, I want to finish the design for Teacher Wu to review as soon as possible."

"How about I go to the cafeteria and bring something back for you? You can’t skip dinner."

After a long day of classes, the school beauty really felt low on energy. Hearing her boyfriend's suggestion made her feel warm inside, so she leaned her head against Xiang Ran's waist and mumbled, "What do you want to eat?"

"How about some porridge?" Xiang Ran thought something light for dinner would be good.

"Or we could order takeout?"

"I think we shouldn't be more than 2 meters apart tonight~"

So, Xiang Ran took out his phone to order from a porridge shop and also added a rice roll to the order.

After they finished eating, Xiang Ran noticed that Liu Shuyao had regained some energy, so he asked, "Do you have any ideas?"

"We could simply write the school motto on it!"

"Or draw a big school emblem!"

Liu Shuyao stabbed at the remaining half of the rice roll with her chopsticks, her cheeks stuffed with food, looking like an annoyed hamster.

"I think that's a good idea."

"Huh? Xiang Ran, what's with you?"

"Aren’t you usually the one with high standards and strict requirements, aiming for full marks?" Liu Shuyao was a bit surprised.

"I'm double standard! It depends on the person!"

Xiang Ran handed Liu Shuyao a piece of paper.

"......"

Hmm...

What’s wrong with this person?

Isn't it said that engineering boys don’t say sweet nothings?

Is there no such limitation for top students?

Liu Shuyao felt a bit flustered by his teasing, her previous relaxed attitude vanished. She straightened up at the table, even giving him a little push.

"You, don’t do that~"

Xiang Ran couldn’t help but smile at the school beauty’s little gesture, finding it very cute.

"Okay, continue."

"What I actually envision is a bright red base, with a flowing, intertwined texture..."

The color blocks symbolize the fusion of different artistic styles, while the abstract palette, paintbrushes, and typical painting tools create a sense of the painting process, with the outlines of campus buildings in the background depicted in light lines.

As Liu Shuyao spoke, she quickly sketched a rough idea for Xiang Ran.

"What do you think of this?"

Liu Shuyao's thoughts were vibrant, and Xiang Ran struggled to keep up with her expression, but as he looked at the shapes she drew, he could see the picture forming in his mind. "I think it's great."

"Really?"

The school beauty, focused on her work, lost her usual charming demeanor, even furrowing her brow to confirm whether Xiang Ran was just flattering her.

"Seriously."

Xiang Ran straightened his expression, returned to his seat, and began coding alongside her.

The breeze outside gently swayed the curtains, ruffling the school beauty's hair, while her gaze remained fixed on the screen.

The cursor danced across the screen, filled with a digital vibe; each click was a precise placement for the anniversary design.

Holding a digital pen, Liu Shuyao intently stared at the background image on the monitor. She opened the layers, selected the brush tool, and began to outline the campus buildings, bringing each structure to life.

Liu Shuyao reselected representative elements of the campus, like the clock tower, school emblem, and shaded pathways, each color choice seeming to capture the campus atmosphere.

"Do you think this part needs anything else?"

As she was drawing, Liu Shuyao suddenly felt uncertain.

"Are you thinking about adding the school motto?"

Xiang Ran glanced at the approximate location.

"Yeah."

"But if you do that, it might look crowded?"

"A little, so I'm considering whether to add it."

Deep in her creative world, Liu Shuyao bit her lip, furrowing her brow as if searching for a better way to express her ideas.

"Why not lower this path a bit and place the motto behind it, using lighter lines to connect it to the background? That way, it won't overshadow the main elements but will still have significance."

Xiang Ran pointed out a position.

Following his suggestion, Liu Shuyao made a few strokes and checked the effect.

"Um~"

"It seems okay~"

"Then I'll refine it a bit more."

She lowered her head again, sketching and painting, quickly forgetting that Xiang Ran was standing behind her, oblivious to her surroundings.

This was actually Xiang Ran’s first time watching the school beauty paint, and it felt quite different.

After nearly an hour, Liu Shuyao finally lifted her head, rotating her neck with a soft crackling sound.

"Are you done?"

Liu Shuyao nodded, and Xiang Ran walked over to look at the image on the display.

The campus buildings, emblem, and motto were perfectly integrated, with each element meticulously presented.

"What do you think?"

"It’s quite good."

"Ah~"

Hearing Xiang Ran’s words, Liu Shuyao finally let out a sigh of relief, her tense nerves relaxing.

"Is it up to your high standards?"

"Yeah."

Xiang Ran thought it was already quite good.

Then he saw Liu Shuyao reach for her thermos, intending to pour some water, only to find it completely empty.

"Let’s buy a bottle on the way back."

Xiang Ran thought their evening was wrapping up.

But Liu Shuyao shook her head. "I want to make some more revisions; let’s stay a bit longer."

To Xiang Ran, the background image already looked great, so he was surprised that the school beauty wanted to make more changes.

Since that was the case, he didn’t say much, just nodded. However, noticing that Liu Shuyao looked a bit tired, he spoke up.

"Why don’t you take a quick rest? I have eye drops on my desk; just put a bit in."

After saying that, he picked up the thermos to get some water.

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
