The afternoon before the presentation,
Xiang Ran deployed the final version of the code in the testing environment.
Later, Teacher Li asked Xiang Ran for the testing environment's address and quickly called someone to the office.
“Teacher Li wanted to see me, so you go ahead and prepare. Don’t wait for me; let’s meet at Wenbei Building 206.”
“Remember to check the testing environment after you’re done. Make sure there are no error reports.”
Xiang Ran looked at the time and spoke to the fat guy.
“Okay.”
Around 5:00, Xiang Ran hurried to Wenbei Building. Fortunately, Teacher Wu hadn’t arrived yet, so he walked over to meet the fat guy.
“Any problems?”
“No.”
Then Liu Shuyao headed to 206 first.
As soon as she entered, she bounced over and stood next to Xiang Ran, smiling brightly.
“Make sure to do well in the report later~”
“Mm.” Xiang Ran replied softly.
Liu Shuyao watched as Xiang Ran cast the computer screen onto the projection. She felt a bit emotional since this was their first completed project.
After a while, Teacher Wu entered 206 with a few students from the art department.
The presentation officially began.
Soon, the screen displayed the words “Digital Exhibition Platform of the Art Department.”
Xiang Ran moved the mouse and started explaining some specific functions.
“First, let’s focus on the timeline feature of this virtual gallery. Through the timeline, visitors can traverse the historical context of the art department, experiencing artworks from different periods. This not only showcases the development history of the art department but also allows visitors to appreciate the evolution of various artistic styles.”
“Second, the virtual gallery will have a dedicated section for showcasing student works. Through this section, visitors can closely admire the impressive creations of the students.”
“In addition, we’ve embedded a digital archive within the virtual gallery to present historical materials from the art department, famous professors’ lectures, and photos from campus art events. This will provide visitors with a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the culture and spirit of the art department.”
“All these presentation forms will be based on high interactivity. Visitors can interact with the virtual gallery through gestures and touch screens, freely choosing what content to browse.”
“Each visitor can click on an artwork, which will redirect them to the actual student paintings behind it. We’ve also included detailed information about the authors and exhibition locations.”
“This level of interactivity will greatly enhance the visitors’ sense of participation, allowing them to immerse themselves deeper into the world of the art department.”
“...”
“In summary, the digital exhibition platform of the art department is not just a digital display platform; it’s a multifunctional digital learning and interactive space. Through the timeline, student work displays, and digital archive functions, we can break the limitations of traditional exhibitions.”
“That concludes everything about this digital exhibition platform of the art department. Thank you all!”
Xiang Ran's presentation went very smoothly, and the audience erupted into thunderous applause.
Teacher Wu nodded in affirmation.
“Indeed, it’s quite good!”
“Everyone has worked hard during this time!”
As Xiang Ran returned to his seat, his gaze suddenly met that of his classmate, and the next moment, his phone buzzed.
Teacher Wu was making a concluding speech about the specific arrangements for the exhibition in a few days.
“Make sure the two computer science students arrive early to help deploy the large screen and ensure smooth operation.”
“Li Han, you should arrange the venue in advance. Remember, all exhibition positions must match the large screen.”
“And make sure to report any procedural issues early.”
“Also, find a few boys from the sculpture department on that day...”
At that moment, the two were secretly messaging under the table.
Classmate: 【Your presentation was amazing~】
Classmate: 【Bunny cheering.jpg】
Classmate: 【Where are we celebrating later?】
Xiang Ran: 【What do you think? What do you want to eat?】
Classmate: 【I’m fine with anything~】
By the time Teacher Wu finished speaking, it was almost seven o’clock, and outside it had already turned dark. Everyone was eager to leave, chatting and heading toward the door.
Xiang Ran initially wanted to wait for Liu Shuyao.
However, right before leaving, Teacher Wu called Liu Shuyao over, so he had to let the fat guy go first and stay behind to wait.
Then he saw Han Lele walking over, looking somewhat nervous.
“Senior Xiang Ran, I have something to tell you. Can we talk for a moment?”
As soon as Han Lele finished speaking, her face turned bright red.
“You can say it here.”
Xiang Ran frowned, sensing that it wasn’t something good.
“It’ll be quick, just one minute!”
“There are too many people here.”
They were standing at the entrance of Wenbei Building. Although it wasn’t the peak class dismissal time, there were still a few students walking by occasionally.
“Can we go just a bit to the side?”
Han Lele pointed to a corner behind them that seemed a bit more secluded.
Seeing that it wasn’t far and that classmates would still be able to see him, Xiang Ran nodded.
Han Lele appeared very nervous, her hands fidgeting together.
“What do you want to say?”
“Senior, I like you. Would you go out with me?”
“No.”
Almost as soon as Han Lele finished her sentence, Xiang Ran spoke up.
“I know you might not want to be in a relationship right now, but I still want to say, can we try it out?”
“I promise I won’t distract you from your studies!”
“If, if later you still...”
Han Lele stammered, her whole face flushed red.
After a moment, Xiang Ran calmly replied, “I’m sorry!”
“I have someone I like already!”
Xiang Ran’s response came quickly, and he was clear in his mind about who it was.
“Eh?”
Han Lele had actually known beforehand that there was a high probability she would be rejected, given her observations of their interactions and her inquiries in room 306. She knew that Xiang Ran was currently focused solely on his studies and had no intentions of dating.
However, she figured that as long as there were no signs of other girls, it shouldn’t be a problem. After all, she felt she wasn’t bad herself. Isn’t it said that when a girl pursues a boy, there’s no barrier?
That’s why she wanted to give it a shot!
But now Xiang Ran was saying he already had someone he liked...
Han Lele was a bit stunned, not expecting that kind of answer.
“I... I didn’t know you liked someone.”
Han Lele spoke, feeling somewhat lost.
When she lifted her head, she happened to see a classmate standing at the entrance and suddenly felt very embarrassed, so she hurriedly left.
Only then did Xiang Ran turn around and notice Liu Shuyao standing behind him.
“When did you arrive?”
“Right when you said you had someone you liked~”
