"I heard you talking at night and sounded a bit nasal. If you’re uncomfortable, you can drink some Vitamin C."

"Goodnight."

Ahhhh!!!

Who said that guys studying computer science are straight and lack romance?

Look how thoughtful my boyfriend is!

As she read the message from her boyfriend on the screen, Liu Shuyao bit her lip and buried her head into the pillow.

Her cute little feet, excited, dug into the sheets, making soft, playful sounds.

What’s going on?

Li Meixun and Zhao Ying were confused.

After a moment, Liu Shuyao finally lifted her head from the pillow, gasping for air, and hugged her bunny plushie under her chin.

Though she was wearing loose pajamas, she had accidentally undone two buttons during her squirming, making the outline of her chest clearly visible. The neckline gaped open, revealing her full curves that tapered down, while her slender waist could be pinched with one hand. Her small face was flushed from the heat, lips rosy, and her eyes held a slightly moist glimmer.

But even in such a charming scene, her innocent expression created a huge contrast.

Indeed, unintentional gestures were the most alluring.

Li Meixun glanced over, shaking her head and making a couple of "tch tch" sounds.

"Shuyao, you’ve been acting strange lately."

"Huh?"

"Really?"

Liu Shuyao's breathing was still a bit labored, making her sound rather soft.

"Yes."

Li Meixun nodded confidently.

"Tell me, has there been any progress with Xiang Ran lately?"

"Um..."

"Well, it’s nothing much. Our relationship has just taken a step further."

"Further?"

"How far?"

Li Meixun and Zhao Ying spoke in unison, both looking somewhat surprised.

After all, they were aware of the accident involving the school beauty, unlike the guy who was lost in self-analysis every day.

If what the school beauty said was true, then they had taken a step forward, which meant Xiang Ran had agreed to pretend to be her boyfriend?

"So what did you two do alone for two hours?"

Zhao Ying knew that the school beauty had gone back to Xiang Ran, thinking something had happened in the lab.

"Not much. I was just waiting for him, and then I fell asleep."

"And then?"

"That was it." Liu Shuyao replied honestly.

"Ah... this..."

"Then what does this count as reconciliation?"

"But now we’ve started chatting!"

"And we even went for a walk later!"

"After I fell asleep, he even covered me with a blanket."

"He kept praising me for the presentation, saying I have a talent for story design!"

"And..."

The school beauty wasn’t one to share her life actively; she usually didn’t think there was much to talk about, except when it came to Xiang Ran.

Just mentioning him made her open up like a pearl from an oyster, guarded otherwise, but with Xiang Ran, she would share everything without needing prompting.

"Alright, alright, I know you’ve made progress. No need to flaunt your affection!"

Zhao Ying waved her hand, signaling she understood.

"Wait!"

"So after all that, what step are you two at?"

Li Meixun didn’t care about the walking and presentations.

"Shouldn’t we be at the reconciliation step? He has done more for me in the past two days than in the first half of the month combined!"

Liu Shuyao felt elated; after half a month of fighting, her dog food had almost turned into a daily cold war, which was unimaginable.

"No, no, no!"

"I’m not talking about that!"

"We're all young adults here; stop with the blanket cover-ups. What else? Anything else?"

"I’m talking about the kind of thing I can watch with my real name at 19!"

"Hahaha!"

Zhao Ying overheard and leaned in, their heads close together.

"I can watch with my real name at 20!"

Liu Shuyao blushed at Li Meixun’s words.

"Can you be serious for a moment?!"

She stammered, then, feeling embarrassed, buried her head into her bunny plushie.

"It’s fine; I’ll just listen. Once I'm done, I’ll immediately go copy the Diamond Sutra."

"+1"

Liu Shuyao looked at the two eager, gossiping eyes and quickly climbed down from her bed, declaring, "Actually, that day at KTV..."

"What happened?"

Their voices turned sly.

Suddenly, there was a loud "thud," and the dormitory was plunged into darkness.

"Time to sleep! Stop asking silly questions, kids!"

Liu Shuyao quickly turned off the light and crawled back into bed, pulling the blanket over her head.

Muttering softly, "I won’t satisfy your curiosity!"

---

Meanwhile, in the boys’ dormitory.

Zhao Xiaogang sent a message to Qi Dong:

"The basketball club has a practice match tomorrow afternoon. Are you coming?"

This message reminded Qi Dong of the drawing Zhao Ying had made in the art room a while back.

He quickly replied that he would go.

He wanted to see who this person was that could inspire Zhao Ying to put so much effort into a painting, even carefully protecting it.

Once a guy’s competitive spirit kicked in, he had to see who was better.

After replying to Zhao Xiaogang, he asked his roommates, "Do you have any plans tomorrow?"

"Yes, I’m going out to the movies with Xiao Qiao in the afternoon," the dorm leader replied while on a video call.

"I am too; I’m going out with them to watch a movie," the fat guy interjected, someone who usually couldn’t stand seeing others show off their affection.

After saying that, he received a pointed look from the dorm leader.

Following the direction of the look, he noticed two roses in a vase on the table, a casual setting that didn’t match the price of those flowers at all.

This silent hint reminded the fat guy of the night he got drunk and ruined the dorm leader’s date the next day.

"Hahaha!"

"Fatty, you’ve really made a name for yourself now!"

"Not only did you tear up the dorm leader’s flowers, but now you’re interrupting their date!"

Qi Dong caught on, laughing so hard his stomach hurt.

"Fuk!!!"

"Sister-in-law! Sister-in-law! I’m really sorry! I ruined your flowers when I was drunk that night. Next time, I’ll take you and the dorm leader out for dinner!"

"Absolutely the best standard in Ningzhou!"

The fat guy was quick to change his attitude; although he had to pay for the dorm leader’s flowers, he had still ruined their date, which was just wrong!

He completely didn’t fit the title of pure love warrior!

"Alright, alright, stop being a big lightbulb."

"Zhao Xiaogang just said there’s a practice match tomorrow afternoon; let’s all go together and make it lively."

"And let’s include Xiang Ran too!"

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
