 Fewer players were left.

Two players were tied for first place in the scores, and Qin Mubai was one of them.

Ye Nianchu was in second place, with three players tied for that spot.

The difference between first and second was only 5 points, making the competition fierce.

In this game, the difficulty was unknown. The rewards were high, the points were many, but it was dangerous!

They lit torches to scare away the face spiders, running as far as they could before the torches went out.

The trees around them were much sparser, and they finally found a place to rest.

The face spiders didn’t follow them.

Ye Nianchu leaned against Qin Mubai, both of them hurt, but thankfully not seriously.

She had a noticeable cut on her arm, with dried blood that looked bad, while her other injuries were less visible.

Her face showed no emotion, calm as if she wasn’t hurt at all.

Qin Mubai looked down to clean her wound. Seeing the exposed skin, he paused, “Sister.”

Ye Nianchu turned her head and smiled, “It doesn’t hurt. Your method is quite good.”

Even if she said it hurt, it still would; it was better to think positively.

In this game, getting hurt was normal; the goal was to survive until the end.

Qin Mubai’s worst injury was on his hand, cut by spider silk while he was slicing it. The wound was deep, and a piece of silk was stuck inside.

Seeing Ye Nianchu worried, he explained, “There’s no deadly poison.”

Ye Nianchu felt relieved and gently wrapped his wound.

After taking care of each other’s injuries, they changed clothes, rested for a moment, and ate something before moving on.

Just because it was safe now didn’t mean it would stay that way; sometimes, calmness meant hidden dangers.

Walking for so long without seeing a face spider was strange.

Qin Mubai thought this game not only had shelters but probably other supply points too, which they hadn’t found yet.

The rainforest was big, with no clues, so they had to rely on luck.

Ye Nianchu didn’t think she could find supplies, so she followed Qin Mubai, hoping he would succeed.

Their condition wasn’t good enough to fight at Shelter 1; their gear was not strong enough.

Suddenly, Qin Mubai stopped, and Ye Nianchu almost bumped into him. She leaned forward and saw a body eaten by insects.

The skin was full of holes, with black bugs crawling around, making her uncomfortable.

Qin Mubai glanced at her hand gripping his arm. “Let’s go around that way.”

“Okay,” Ye Nianchu nodded.

They changed direction to avoid the body.

---

Ahead, the trees were very tall and thick, needing many people to hug one. The ground was tangled with roots, and the branches blocked all sunlight.

A drop of clear water fell from a leaf above.

This place was even more humid than others.

Both of them were alert.

“A tree hole?” Ye Nianchu looked at the dark opening ahead.

She wondered if this hole could be the supply point they were looking for.

But she felt that if they went inside, the chance of danger was very high.

“There’s something there.”

At Qin Mubai's signal, Ye Nianchu noticed a raised area of ground near the tree hole, surrounded by tangled roots.

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

cysvhhz Chapter 1

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
