In the fading glow of the evening sunset, a cool night breeze wafted through the sky. The gentle wind rustled the treetops, and the leaves whispered softly, as if recounting the day's stories.

The streetlights gradually lit up, casting a warm glow that outlined the curves between the trees. From the stairway, the sound of footsteps echoed occasionally, with a few classmates still coming out in small groups.

When Xiang Ran arrived at the art school, the campus belle was still busy, so he waited for a while.

As Liu Shuyao came downstairs, she was still texting her boyfriend, thinking they would meet directly at the cafeteria. Little did she know, before she even stepped out of the teaching building, she spotted Xiang Ran waiting under the streetlight.

Today, the campus belle wore a short white shirt with a bit of ruffling at the chest, paired with a fitted pleated skirt. The skirt cleverly accentuated her waistline, flowing down to her knees. Her legs were pale as snow, straight and slender, topped off with a pair of adorable black shoes.

Her long black hair fell softly over her shoulders in gentle waves, resembling a soft feather. Her bright, curious eyes blinked in surprise as she saw him.

“Hubby~”

She called out excitedly, waving her hand vigorously. In the play of light and shadow, her slender figure appeared curvaceous.

As she raised her hand, the hem of her shirt lifted slightly, snugging against her chest and revealing a tiny waist, forming a tantalizing curve.

“Why are you here~”

Liu Shuyao smiled sweetly.

“To pick you up.”

Xiang Ran felt powerless against the casual way she called him "hubby" and decided against correcting her, just hoping to fall for her slowly.

“Didn’t you say you’d wear long pants?”

He looked at the bouncing campus belle ahead and glanced worriedly at her injury.

Liu Shuyao was surprised that he remembered!

Biting her lip, she crossed her legs bashfully, trying to hide the mark on her knee, and murmured defensively:

“Isn’t it for the sake of looking good~”

“Long pants look good too.”

“What about other options?”

Liu Shuyao always put in her utmost effort to understand her boyfriend's preferences.

“Long skirt or short skirt, backless or V-neck, black stockings or...”

“Um, um, um~~~”

Before she could finish, Xiang Ran covered her mouth.

Her eager curiosity was doused with cold water, and her cat-like eyes looked at him with a mix of grievance and unwillingness.

Xiang Ran didn't really cover her mouth, and when she behaved, he let go of her.

“Hubby, do you like S...”

But then she met his warning gaze, and she swallowed the last letter, muttering softly:

“Otherwise, why do you keep covering my mouth~”

“Because you talk nonsense!”

Xiang Ran couldn’t stand her teasing anymore, especially since she always wore an innocent expression as if she were just asking questions.

“I didn’t!”

“Then you can’t keep covering my mouth!” Liu Shuyao said seriously.

“As long as you don’t talk nonsense, it’s fine.”

Xiang Ran responded seriously, but then he heard another line right after:

"Next time, you can just kiss me~"

"Beep beep..."

Xiang Ran felt like his security system was going off again.

400 Bad Request, 401 Internal Server Error—

Not helping at all!

"You, uh, what do you want to eat?"

The two of them had just arrived at the cafeteria, and Xiang Ran awkwardly changed the subject. "Let’s have tomato rice noodles."

The school beauty looked around, trying to find a seat.

After a few experiences eating together, Xiang Ran had become skilled at getting food himself, leaving the school beauty to simply sit and wait.

A rich tomato aroma wafted from the bowl, and the enticing sweet-sour scent could be smelled from afar. Fresh vegetables paired with tender tofu made the school beauty feel a bit hungry.

But Xiang Ran only got himself two small bowls of dishes, without any staple food.

"Um~"

"Aren't you having dinner tonight?"

"Be careful, it's hot." Xiang Ran remembered how the school beauty had struggled when they had spicy hotpot together, so he reminded her in advance.

After sitting down, he placed both dishes in the middle.

"I'm not very hungry tonight; I’ll eat what you can’t finish later."

"Hmph~ I can definitely finish it this time!"

The school beauty pouted, making a firm declaration.

Xiang Ran didn’t take her seriously and picked a piece of Mapo tofu for himself.

Sure enough, after about two minutes, the school beauty blinked her big eyes, grinning adorably as she cautiously pushed her bowl closer to her boyfriend, her voice soft and lacking the earlier determination.

"I just remembered, I’m on a diet lately~"

"Oh?"

"And then?" Xiang Ran raised an eyebrow, waiting.

"Honey~"

"Wasting food is bad~"

"Please~"

The school beauty’s pink fingertips tapped on the rim of her tomato rice noodle bowl, lightly knocking.

Xiang Ran couldn’t resist her pleading look and took the bowl, fishing around with his chopsticks; there was still more than half left.

"I’ve never seen you finish a bowl, so how did you eat before?"

Xiang Ran was curious.

"When I wanted to eat, I’d just have one meal a day~"

"Or I’d ask the auntie to only cook a little bit. You never mentioned it, so she always made a lot."

"But you only eat a little bit of everything else too."

Xiang Ran later realized that the school beauty was quite greedy but would only take a couple of bites of everything or just taste it and then claim she was full.

"Um~~~"

"Then couldn’t I just eat it for you?"

"I used to be afraid to order, but I really wanted to try, so I could only order one dish each time. It was so pitiful~"

Liu Shuyao sounded more and more aggrieved, drawing little circles on the table with her fingertip, leaving Xiang Ran at a loss for what to do.

When your girlfriend wants to try something, how could you refuse?

After they finished eating and strolled around for a bit, Xiang Ran walked the school beauty back to her dorm.

When he returned, Fatty had just finished a game, and noticing the time was almost 10 PM, he couldn’t help but think of a new label for Xiang Ran’s "communication needs."

They managed to communicate so late!

Feeling like he should do something, he quickly asked, "Ran, how did it go with the school beauty tonight? What did Teacher Wu say in the end?"

"Don’t worry, as long as it’s something I need to change, I’ll cooperate anytime!"

Fatty promised emphatically from over there while Xiang Ran was still focused on replying to the school beauty’s WeChat messages.

"Huh?"

"Oh! You mean that need, right..."

Translation Update! 🍙 Translation Update! 🍙 ✨ Quick note: English isn't my first language, so please understand there might be some typos or awkward phrasing - I'm doing my best! ✨ Hey everyone, just a quick update: As of today, April 28, 2025 , I want to give you all a heads-up about a few small issues you might come across in the story, specifically with some of the prop names. It's not exactly a typo issue—it's more about changes I've made over time. For instance, I originally used the term 'data concealment number' but later changed it to 'number concealment data.' Since these are just prop names in the story, it's not a major issue for the plot, but I totally get that some of you might find it a little annoying if you're really particular about details. ...

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door ...

The broadcast from the main system echoed throughout the instance. In the pitch-black snowy night, accompanied by the eerie howling wind of the ebony forest, Jiang Yan felt utterly disoriented. The "Hunter" in front of him couldn’t hear the main system’s intrusive voice and was still waiting for his "little sheep" to kiss him. However, Jiang Yan simply reached out, gently touched the demon-like ram horns of the "Hunter," and then unhesitatingly pulled the blanket over his head. Hunter: "...So disobedient." Soon after, a kiss landed softly on the top of Jiang Yan's head. A pair of long, broad hands rested on his waist as the "Hunter" drifted into slumber. Meanwhile, the game forum’s players erupted into an explosive celebration: [I’m dying of laughter! What kind of penalty is this?? It’s my first time hearing such a ridiculous deduction reason!] [“Please immediately kiss the BOSS.” What the heck? Hahaha...] [This will go down...

Jiang Yan ignored 663, curling up under the blanket like a quail. The "Hunter" holding him would occasionally rub his head, seemingly captivated by the texture. Jiang Yan obediently played the role of a "pet." Based on his years of watching horror movies and reading scary stories, he knew that being "clever" or "kind-hearted" in such games only led to quicker deaths. "You still have five days," the Hunter said, savoring the softness and compliance of the person in his arms. His pale, pupil-less eyes glinted with pleasure. Although a sheep's head couldn't show human expressions, it was clear he was smiling. Hearing this, the four people huddled in the cage shivered in unison. Only Wang Yu sat blankly by the edge, tears streaming as he gazed at his lover. The "Cops and Robbers" Game The "Hunter" acted as the cop, giving the players (the "robbers") ten days to escape the forest. If they found t...

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post...
