After the typhoon passed, the weather returned to its muggy state.

Ever since Liu Shuyiao sent the background image to his email, things had been quiet for a few days, which made Xiang Ran feel relieved.

Instead, the fatty guy hadn't seen Liu Shuyiao for several days and kept mumbling about her.

On Wednesday afternoon, when they had no classes, Xiang Ran dragged the fatty guy to Room 306 to write code. The functions had already been divided, so they needed to start developing quickly.

As soon as Xiang Ran entered the room, he grabbed a cup of water and placed it in front of the computer, as if he had already entered work mode.

His fingers were tapping away on the keyboard non-stop.

Meanwhile, the fatty guy sat in his chair trying to find his rhythm, attempting to reconnect with his notebook.

Ten minutes later, the connection failed.

The fatty guy simply went to the snack basket and grabbed a bag of chips.

As he opened the package and looked at the cute little basket and the neatly arranged snacks inside, he felt a bit sentimental.

"Liu Shuyiao is really quite considerate, like a little helpful girl."

"When she was around, there was always someone getting takeout or bubble tea. Even that shabby little meeting room has a potted plant now, not to mention how she brought our cactus back to life."

"Now look at it; the plant isn’t green anymore, and the cactus is back to being half-dead."

The fatty guy lamented.

Hearing this, Xiang Ran furrowed his brows, and the sound of his typing grew louder.

"And my snack basket, when Liu Shuyiao was here..."

"Enough already, let’s just get to work!"

Xiang Ran urged the fatty guy a bit impatiently.

"Hey! What’s wrong? Can’t you even mention Liu Shuyiao?"

"Only you could be so heartless. You have no feelings at all; Liu Shuyiao has been gone for several days, and you don’t show any reaction."

Xiang Ran was speechless. He had clearly noticed the strange atmosphere in Room 306 after Liu Shuyiao left.

Every now and then, someone would sigh about how great Liu Shuyiao was.

It was as if her name continued to pop up in his life, even though she wasn't there.

It made him wonder, could there really be such a huge aftereffect?

Distracted by the fatty guy, Xiang Ran lost his train of thought.

As the water in his cup ran out, he instinctively reached for something on his right—a cute rabbit-shaped kettle.

But it was empty...

The fatty guy noticed Xiang Ran's actions and, crunching on his chips, teased him.

"Out of water now?"

"That kettle was taken by Liu Shuyiao!"

"Besides her, who would bother to serve you, such a hard-to-please person, with tea and water?"

"Just go to the water station a hundred meters away yourself!"

Originally, there were three water stations on their floor, but two of them had broken down, making everyone trek far to get water.

Everyone was too lazy; for a while, they either bought bottled water or didn’t drink at all.

Only when Liu Shuyiao brought her kettle did things change a bit.

...

Xiang Ran frowned and said nothing, silently getting up.

"Been sitting too long; I should stretch a bit."

"Stubborn!"

The fatty guy muttered as he watched Xiang Ran’s back.

Then he quickly took out his phone and snapped a picture to send to Liu Shuyiao.

[Brother Ran looks like he's lost half his life without your kettle! His face is so long!]

She replied quickly:

[Really?]

Liu Shuyiao had been holding back from messaging her boyfriend for a few days and felt like she was losing her mind.

Seeing the fatty guy's message, she perked up and tentatively asked:

[How’s the development going lately?]

[Going normally~]

The fatty guy typed quickly.

[Brother Ran is here, nothing unexpected... ]

The fatty guy didn’t pick up on Liu Shuyiao’s feelings and kept discussing their development progress.

Liu Shuyiao looked at the messages on her phone, her heart sinking!

Nothing unexpected?

If there’s nothing unexpected, what about her?

It had been several days since they had seen each other!

Was he really not planning to reconcile?

Liu Shuyiao mumbled...

[Is there anything you need me to do?~]

This time, her words were more straightforward.

[Of course there is, you’re our mascot in Room 306 now!]

[Really!]

[Can I come over now?]

[What’s stopping you? If you have nothing else, just come!]

[On my way!]

The fatty guy had no suspicions; to him, Liu Shuyiao’s presence was nothing but beneficial!

Just after they finished texting, someone returned from getting water.

"Liu Shuyiao said she’ll come over soon."

"What's she coming for?"

Xiang Ran paused for a moment, lowering the cup he was holding.

"Nothing much, just coming to hang out."

"Hang out? Don’t we have work to do?" Xiang Ran felt it was a bit unreasonable.

"When she was here before, it didn’t really interfere with your work, did it?"

"Why are you acting so strange today?"

The fatty guy was puzzled.

"It’s nothing."

Since she was already coming, there was no point in saying anything more.

Meanwhile, Liu Shuyiao took a roundabout approach to achieve her goal.

So she quickly packed up her drawing board and headed back to her dorm.

"What are you doing?"

Zhao Ying asked as she watched Liu Shuyiao's movements.

"Going to Room 306."

"But you said you finished your work over there, why go again?"

"To accompany my boyfriend!"

While packing her things, Liu Shuyiao answered without looking up.

Then she quickly slipped away.

"Liu Shuyiao really is love-struck!"

Li Meixun, who was mixing colors, remarked as she watched Liu Shuyiao's figure disappear.

Going to find a boyfriend shouldn't be so casual; Liu Shuyiao first returned to her dorm to drop off her things, then stared at her wardrobe, contemplating.

Which outfit should she wear?

After much deliberation, she finally picked one, but then noticed a neatly washed and ironed men’s shirt hanging in the corner.

Should she take that shirt too?

Liu Shuyiao thought for a moment...

But quickly dismissed the idea!

No! No!

Today is today; she could borrow the shirt later, and there would be a new day!

So, with her decision made, Liu Shuyiao left the dorm carrying her notebook.

When Liu Shuyiao casually arrived at Room 306, she saw the fatty guy waving excitedly at her.

"Want some frozen snacks?"

This was something the fatty guy had just pulled from his snack basket.

Liu Shuyiao didn’t hold back and took it, opening the lid immediately.

Then she sneaked a glance at her boyfriend, who was busily typing away.

"Hey, you don’t know how dull it’s been here since you left; it felt like Room 306 lost all its life."

The fatty guy began to complain as soon as he saw her.

"The cactus doesn’t even want to live anymore, let alone Brother Ran."

"What happened?"

Liu Shuyiao blinked her big eyes, curious to hear the story.

"Are you that bored?"

Realizing the fatty guy might start rambling again, Xiang Ran lifted his head and quickly interrupted.

"Alright, alright! Right away!"

The fatty guy indeed hadn’t written much code that afternoon, and now he was getting serious.

Seeing this, Liu Shuyiao also took out her notebook.

In early September, during a Mathematical Analysis class at A University of Science and Technology, the sophomore students were noticeably distracted. The young professor at the podium glanced down and spotted a large group of students engrossed in their phones. Though he wasn’t a high school teacher, he couldn’t help but lament inwardly: “This generation is worse than the last. Even in Math Analysis class, they dare to slack off?” He could already envision the dismal outcomes on the final grades. Clearing his throat somewhat theatrically, he still received no attention. Growing annoyed, the professor resolved to be tough with the grades this year to combat this poor attitude. At the back of the classroom, Ge Zhicheng's heart raced as he continuously refreshed the backend of the academic system's page. What the professor didn’t know was that today was the day for second-year students in the College of Science to be reassigned to dormitories; the assignment list would be post

Jiang Yan was awakened by the mechanical broadcast of the main system. In the desolate mountain forest blanketed by thick snow, a mechanical voice echoed: [Dungeon: "Sheep's Forest," Progress: 20%] [Player: Li Xue, Escape Progress: 50%] The distant sky was a heavy gray, surrounded by gnarled black branches resembling the haunting spirits of a graveyard. Amid the howling wind, there seemed to be the growls of wild beasts. At this moment, Jiang Yan was asleep in the loft of a small wooden cabin deep in the forest, covered with a duck down comforter and lying on a soft velvet blanket. The fireplace in the room was burning brightly, filling the air with the sweet scent of roasted chestnuts, while the raging wind and snow outside were of no concern to him. "Why has the dungeon progress still only been 20% after five days? How many are left alive now?" Jiang Yan nestled deeper into the comforter, lazily asking. "Oh, Ancestor, you’re awake?" the syst

“Bang—” The air trembled, and bright light hit Gu Zhan's eyelids, making him squint. “Patient 707 has been admitted.” A cold female voice sounded. Patient 707? Who? Gu Zhan squinted against the blinding light and realized he was lying down under a surgical shadowless lamp. Next to him stood several people in deep green surgical scrubs, their faces obscured by the light. One of them leaned over to look at him; the blue medical mask covered most of his features, leaving only a pair of narrow, dark eyes visible. He said, “707 has woken up. Administer a sedative.” A syringe pierced the back of Gu Zhan's hand, and the cold liquid flowed in, gradually blurring his consciousness... ... “Crash—” “Bang!” The sound of metal clashing echoed sharply. A metal bed was forcefully pushed away, sliding a great distance before crashing against the wall. Gu Zhan's head struck the bed frame heavily, and the intense pain momentarily brought him back to awareness. Then came the sound of a door

On the weekend, it was time for the second-year students of the School of Science to move dormitories. The hallway on the third floor of Building Seven was bustling with noise, filled with voices, footsteps, and the clattering of suitcase wheels rolling over the floor, creating a chaotic and irritating atmosphere. Lu Yuxing’s daily necessities were mostly simple, so he didn’t have many belongings. Aside from his bed, he managed to pack everything into a few large boxes. He finished organizing his things earlier than the other two and pushed his suitcase to Dorm 323 ahead of time. Dorm 323 had previously been occupied by fourth-year students. After the seniors graduated in July, it remained empty, which saved Lu Yuxing and his friends a lot of hassle when changing dorms. The dorm was quite empty; apart from some dust on the desk and bed, it was overall clean. The large tiled floor was very accommodating for those with obsessive-compulsive tendencies, perfectly fitting the preferences

Shang Jue pushed Lu Yuxing down from his chest. Lu Yuxing wrapped his arms around his waist, keeping him in place. “I’ll be careful this time,” he said, lowering his head again to kiss him gently for a long time. After what felt like an eternity, they parted. Shang Jue noticed Lu Yuxing's flushed face and damp lips up close, feeling a sudden awkwardness. He cleared his throat. Kissing a dog with memories feels different. Lu Yuxing warmly held him, a smile curling at the corners of his lips. Shang Jue couldn’t help but doubt whether the person in front of him was the same as half an hour ago. He raised his hands, pinching Lu Yuxing’s cheeks and pulling at them. Remembering that he was still carrying a pot on his back, he started to unhappily hold him accountable. “You said I was fishing for you. What exactly did I do to fish you?” Lu Yuxing hadn’t expected Shang Jue to bring this up at that moment. As Shang Jue tugged at his face, Lu Yuxing tilted his head but didn’t break
